A Fishbowl Full of Glass Eyes is the 10th episode of the Season 9 of Two and a Half Men . It aired on November 21, 2011.
Plot [ ] Walden while shopping with Jake meets a British woman named Zoey and asks her out on a date. While Alan is in a deep financial problem and considers asking Walden for a loan but Berta insists he is the only person in his life that doesn't pretend to be Walden's friend for his money. Alan is forced to pawn a Steuben Crystal that Judith 's parents gave him when they got married but accidentally breaks it in excitement of being offered $1200. Later in the evening Alan suggest if Walden is going to date he should lose the wedding ring and Walden gives Alan his ring. While Walden is on his date Zoey says he is still in love with his wife and rejects him. Alan tries to pawn the ring and gets offered so much money that he couldn't breathe. Alan comes home to see Walden looking at the ocean and comes to talk to him when Walden asks for his ring back but then throws it into the ocean saying he doesn't need it anymore. Alan goes after it but couldn't find it. Walden says if Alan asked for a loan he would've given the money away but Alan says he still has his self-respect and ends up getting charged rent to increase his self-respect. Alan goes into the ocean again being mad at himself.

Trivia [ ] Jake starts sucking up to Walden and Walden gives him 1/4 of a million frequent flier miles. At the end of the episode Jake is at Song David Bowie Music Life On Mars. Walden's ring is valued at something Alan loses his breath at. Although Alan's cheapness probably made it look like a lot more than it really is. It is the length of a phone number
When Alan searches for the ring in the ocean, he calls it "My Precious!! ", a reference to Gollum from The Lord of the Rings franchise .
This is the first full episode with the newly redecorated beach house by the current beach homeowner (Walden Schmidt ).
Evelyn and Judith do not appear in this episode.
