Fernando is a handsome handyman that appears in the Season 4 episode "Anteaters. They're Just Crazy-Lookin’”. He was played by actor and singer Enrique Iglesias. When the outside deck needs repair (Charlie fell through the railing), Alan hires Fernando to fix it. All the woman who meet him in the episode, i.e., Charlie’s girlfriend Chloe, Berta and Judith, seem to be interested in him. At first, Charlie complains about Fernando’s work, but Alan tells Charlie that Fernando is “a younger version” of him, which probably upsets him. When Charlie stops by at Chloe’s apartment to bring back a soup thermos (Charlie faked being sick to avoid her, she then stopped by with soup at his place before), it becomes obvious Fernando is with Chloe to have sex. Unexpectedly, Charlie is not mad at him, remarking about the circle of life. Charlie gets the upper hand though when he makes Fernando clear he’s more financially capable than him (buying Chloe expensive jewellery) and fires him on the spot. However, Charlie made the mistake of firing him before the job was finished, which results in him falling through the railing a second time. Fernando was last seen fixing Berta’s airconditioning unit, which Charlie set him up to do.
