Jess, better known by other's as Milly's mom", is the single mother to her teenage daughter of Milly and a minor character who was originally believed to be a former significant other to Charlie Harper. After running into Charlie Harper and his nephew Jake at the coffee shop, both mother and daughter make plans for a double date with the uncle and nephew and the four of them have dinner together. The dinner is overall awkward as Jake and Milly have nothing in common with Milly being disgusted by Jake's behavior, and Charlie's attempts at small talk fail to help him remember Jess's name. The dinner is officially ruined when Jake asks the awkward question about his uncle wanting to know her name out loud to the table. Jess, upset by this, asks Charlie if he really didn't know her name. Charlie tries to dodge the question by ruining Jake's date with Milly, but Jess still intervened, and Charlie finally admitted he never remembered her name but claims he will always remember those passionate nights they spent together. Jess admits, confirming Charlie's suspicions, that they never spent the night together. After the disastrous dates, Jess took Milly home and both mother and daughter are never seen again. She and Milly only appear once in the Season Five episode, "Winky-Dink Time".
